PTP personal tax and
corporation tax products top latest ICAEW IT in accountancy
practices Survey 2007.
The PTP personal tax and corporation tax software products,
PTP Tax Return and PTP CT Platform, have achieved remarkable results
in the latest ICAEW research into IT usage in accountancy
practices. PTP Tax Return comes top in the survey of personal
taxation software scoring 91 points out of a possible 100 and PTP
CT Platform scores 88 points, just missing the number one position
by 1 point. Both products appear in the ICAEW ‘Software Leaders
Chart’.
The report states that PTP Tax Return ‘continues to perform
strongly in all categories. It has no reported critical business
failures’. It secures the top overall satisfaction rating of 91; a
full 20 points ahead of the lowest rated product; LKA Objective Tax
(Keytime). PTP Tax Return is top in terms of performance, ease of
use and on-going support. 97% of users said they would recommend
it.
PTP CT Platform is also said to ‘perform strongly in all
categories’. It secures the second highest satisfaction rating of
88 and is top in terms of ongoing service, performance and
reliability. 93% of those using the software would recommend
it.
In terms of market share, PTP software is shown to be one of
only two suppliers of personal taxation software that have grown
their market share in the last two years. Other key suppliers:
Digita, Sage and MYOB have all suffered a fall in their share of
the market.
