PTP Platform version 5.3 released December 2010 includes
updates to:

Important note: This PTP Platform installation
also installs the replaced PTP Accounts Platform product. This
should not be used by new customers. If you are interested in PTP
Accounts Production - iXBRL edition please contact our sales team

New features in this release
- Updated PTP Tax Return in year calculator
This release also makes corrections to the following
issues:
PTP Tax
Return
- Self Employment page box 46 population has incorrect figure if
turnover below 68,00 has been ticked on page 2 and an entry made in
box 30
- Box 95 on page SEF5 is being automatically populated with the
entry from either box 46 (profit) or box 47 (loss) and it is not
possible to remove the entry
- Box 75 (Total taxable profits) is not being populated if only
box 74 (Any other business income) has an entry
- Issue with filing Self Employment pages with provisional
figures HMRC special case 20
- Cannot enter a syndicate foreign tax in the Lloyds Underwriter
box 1L.76
PTP Partnership
Return
- Entering a partner ceased date is removing their UTR number and
causing an online filing rejection
PTP CT Platform
- When printing CT return Box 40 (Associated Companies in First
Year) is being populated with the entry from box 41 (Associated
Companies in second year) and box 41 is blank
- The tick for "a repayment is due for this return period" on
page 1 of the CT600 is not retained if there is a value in box 143
(Payable Research and Development tax credit)but not boxes 141 or
142 (Repayment of corporate or income tax)

The service pack has been designed so that on a network system
it only has to be installed once by the administrator. As each user
starts their system the program will automatically detect the
update and prompt the user to install the update. The update
automatically determines the directories where the program and data
reside so that no technical knowledge is required to install the
update. On Windows 7 and Vista however the installation will only
run successfully if the user has administrative access rights on
the workstation.

Please note:
- Before installing this update please ensure that no users are
currently using any of the PTP Platform programs.
- That following the installation of the update you may be
prompted to re-start your machine. We would recommend that you do
re-start when prompted to do so.
There are two simple steps to install the update.
- Click the link below to run or download the file onto your
computer. We recommend that for your ease, you run the file
directly from our website.
- Follow the installation wizard to complete the
installation.
Alternatively you can use the save this program to disk
option within the File Download window. When the file has been
downloaded click the 'Close' button on the Download Completed
window and disconnect from the Internet. Use Windows Explorer or
the 'Start' then 'Run' command to locate and run the file.
This will start the installation wizard.
As each user starts their Platform programs they will be
informed that their system needs updating and given the option to
update immediately. The user only has to confirm that the update is
to be installed - no technical knowledge is required.
