Frequently Asked Questions - Installation Process
Q: I have installed the software but it didn't
ask for my registration codes
A: The installation doesn't ask for the
registration codes, these are input once the install has completed
and the software is opened. Please read the installation guide for
further details.
Q: I have installed the software and when I try to
run a transfer forward the options for what type of clients to
transfer are greyed out
A: The registration codes haven't been entered
into the software through the spanner icon registration tab and so
it is still in demo version.
Q: I have entered my registration codes into Tax
Platform but when I try to run the transfer forward I don't have
the option from 2009 to 2010
A: This suggests the installation hasn't been run,
so the version number needs to be checked, i.e. along the main blue
title bar or by clicking Help and About. The 2010 release will show
version 5.0 or above.
Q: When I try to open a program I get error
message 1706 or Accounts error - Feature you are trying to use is
on a CD Rom or other removable disk. Insert accounts disk and click
ok.
A: Go to Control Panel, click on Add or remove
programs, Microsoft Office – change - then Repair. You may require
the Microsoft Office Installation disk.
